30/12/11 - WEBSITE UPDATED! - Please do take a look at the new pages detailing my recent work on site-specific performance Scrooge on the Farm, touring play Alice's Adventures in the New World and short film Wrestling Yetis. Enjoy, and Happy New Year!

13/12/11 - SOME GOOD NEWS AND A MERRY CHRISTMAS! - Well as 2011 draws to a close I am happy to be able to share some lovely news about a couple of projects I've worked on this year. Firstly short film 'Wrestling Yetis' which was made back in February has been doing well at the festivals, including being selected as Film of the Month for Film Nation Shorts in July, meaning it has been showing on the BBC Big Screens in town centres around the UK throughout the second half of this year. Secondly, Bath Theatre Royal's The 24 Hour Plays project has been picked out as one of Venue Magazine's Plays of the Year, quite an accolade considering the excellent quality of work that goes on in the Bristol and Bath areas. Read the full article here: Venue's Best of 2011. And on that happy note: Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy and successful 2012! Anna x

'Dear Alice - the truth is rarely pure and never simple...'
What do a hypochondriac debutante, a cattle rustler and Oscar Wilde have in common? Find out by following Alice down the rabbit hole of scandal, intrigue and sing-alongs as she travels from Victorian Ireland through London to America's Wild West in search of her long-lost mother. 'Alice's Adventures in the New World' is a music-hall adventure where things become curiouser and curiouser along the way...

31/07/11 - LOOKING AHEAD - Well with 'Pills Thrills and Bellyaching' about to open at the Tobacco Factory Theatre in a couple of days (very exciting! See entry below for details...) I thought I'd pass on some info about what I'll be up to next. August brings two trips to Italy with band The Irrepressibles to perform the new 'Human Zoetrope' spectacle, with visits to Pordenone in the north of Italy and Bari in the south. Then come September I will start work with all-female theatre company Fluff Productions on their autumn tour of Sarah Sigal's Victorian music hall-inspired play 'Alice's Adventures in the New World'. I will take on an actor-musician role and we'll be performing in Bath, Cheltenham and Exeter in late September and October. Keep an eye on this page for further details...

15/07/11 - COMING SOON TO THE TOBACCO FACTORY THEATRE, BRISTOL - I am delighted to have been asked by Darkstuff Productions and Edible Theatre to perform in their forthcoming show 'Pills, Thrills and Bellyaching - Eddie King and the Death of Rave' at The Tobacco Factory Theatre in Bristol at the beginning of August. A promenade production set against the backdrop of the early '90s rave scene and featuring new work from some very talented writers, this promises to be something rather special...

Take yourself back to the 1990's, just for a moment. A flash of lights, a blur of neon colour and the beat of music that hits at your acid-happy core...

Following two successful Eddie King events Darkstuff Productions returns to the Tobacco Factory Theatre with a whole new twist in the tale and a host of delightfully dark monologues. A night of new writing from Simon Harvey-Williams, Phil John, Gill Kirk, David Lane and Helen Parker, inspired by the euphoria-driven age of Rave. An age arguably the last great social happening of the Twentieth Century - an age before Facebook. The Acid Generation. Were you there? Are the memories stirring? Did Eddie King, that famous everyperson, overdo on the little pills and fry his brain?

Whether you're a veteran raver, someone who wasn't there the first time around, or an intrepid theatre explorer, come plumb the depths of a dizzyingly exhilarating era without the morning-after headache. This is not a rave. This is a night to remember.

Pills, Thrills & Bellyaching - Eddie King and the Death of Rave
